Although her name might represent the opposite, Poppy King truly is a "Lipstick Queen." Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, King was just 18-years-old when she started her first lipstick brand; "Poppy" was the result of the lip-fanatic not being able to find any products with the textures, shades, and finishes she so desired — the rich, creamy, deeply pigmented colours that immediately bring to mind visions of femininity and the glamour of the 1940's.
